The course “Cost Control with Oracle Primavera Cloud” is divided into two comprehensive parts and offers an in-depth insight into managing resources and costs within projects. The program is designed for project controllers and planners who want to enhance their cost control skills and learn to work more effectively with the advanced features of Oracle Primavera Cloud.

In the first part of the course, we focus on using resources and roles within Oracle Primavera Cloud to create effective capacity planning. You will learn how to allocate resources to different project phases and how to maintain an overview of capacity and availability within a project. This section of the course will help you understand how to identify and resolve resource constraints and how to develop a balanced schedule that optimally utilizes the project team. You will work across projects, gaining the opportunity to manage resources within a complete project portfolio.

The second part of the course delves deeply into the theory and practice of Earned Value Management (EVM), an essential tool for cost and performance monitoring. You will learn how to apply various EVM metrics, such as Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI), to accurately monitor the progress and performance of your projects. This section focuses on the practical application of EVM within Oracle Primavera Cloud, teaching you how to create reliable forecasts and effectively manage the cost performance of projects. The theory is translated into practical exercises, so you will know exactly how to use these techniques in your daily work. This course requires knowledge of project planning and experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud. Familiarity with capacity planning, Earned Value Management, and cost control is a plus.
