The goal of this course is to give participants an understanding of how to effectively plan and manage project capacity. You will learn how to clearly identify a project's resource needs and match them to availability so that you identify and prevent bottlenecks in a timely manner. You will also gain practical skills in creating resource-driven project schedules and discover how specialized software such as Oracle Primavera handles resource planning. Upon completion, you will be able to independently create a thoughtful and realistic project schedule that optimally responds to available resources.

The Resource Planning course is fully online and covers the key principles of resource planning. You will learn how planning software such as Oracle Primavera handles the duration of tasks, the allocation of resources and the management of deployment per unit of time, both during planning and when updating the project. You will also gain insight into keeping an overview of the deployment of resources across multiple projects, so that as a project manager you can identify and adjust bottlenecks in a timely manner. You follow the course independently and at your own pace. Upon completion of this course you will have prior knowledge to start the course Resource & Cost Control using Oracle Primavera.
