The course "Introduction to Cost Control" focuses specifically on the role of the cost controller and its work within projects. You will learn how, as a cost controller, you are responsible for setting up and monitoring project budgets, analyzing actual costs versus budgets, and identifying deviations in a timely manner. In addition, you will develop skills in predicting future costs (forecasts), applying Earned Value management, and preparing clear financial reports such as tables and S-curves. Upon completion, you will know exactly how to structurally monitor the financial progress of projects as cost controller, identify deviations and report professionally to the project team and management.

You will delve into Earned Value analysis, learning how to work with CPI (Cost Performance Index) and SPI (Schedule Performance Index), calculate the Estimate to Complete (ETC), and draw up and interpret S-Curves.
